IIGCC response to UNFCCC consultation on COP30 roadmaps

IIGCC response to UNFCCC consultation on COP30 roadmaps
09.04.26

Our submission, delivered to the COP30 presidency in April, provides investor feedback on the two roadmaps presented at COP30.

In February 2026, the COP30 President, André Corrêa do Lago, invited views from parties and observers on the development of two roadmaps:

  1. Transitioning away from fossil fuels in a just, orderly, and equitable manner
  2. Halting and reversing deforestation and forest degradation by 2030

These two roadmaps were part of the overall COP30 outcomes, as a commitment from the COP30 President himself. The two roadmaps aim to set out global pathways to achieve two goals agreed at COP28 in Dubai in the First Global Stocktake (GST1) decision text, on the transition away from fossil fuels (paragraph 28.d) and on halting and reversing deforestation (paragraphs 33 and 34). The Presidency has opened a call for submissions, to help identify practical options for implementation of the goals.
