Net Zero Asset Managers

Voluntary initiative for asset managers committed, in their individual contexts, to supporting investing in line with the global goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions

Overview

The Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) is a voluntary initiative for asset managers committed, in their individual contexts, to supporting investing in line with the global goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions. It provides a platform for voluntary commitments and public disclosures of individual net zero targets and implementation strategies.

NZAM is facilitated by six network partners: AIGCC, CDP, Ceres, IGCC, IIGCC and PRI. Signatories can access individual implementation support via their network partners.

History

We were a founding partner in the development of the initiative when it launched in December 2020. We continue to play a leading role in supporting the initiative, providing access for our members to join and supporting NZAM signatories with delivering upon their individual commitments.

We also developed the Net Zero Investment Framework, the most widely used guide by investors to set targets and produce related net zero strategies and transition plans, which is used by the majority of NZAM signatories when setting their own initial targets in line with the initiative's Commitment Statement.
