Stephanie has led IIGCC since 2005 and overseen its expansion into a European-focused investor group. She sits on the Steering Committees for Climate Action 100+, the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative and the Investor Agenda, as well as the Executive Committee for the Paris Aligned Asset Owners.
Prior to her role at IIGCC, Stephanie worked in investment banking for over seven years, including as a senior economist at Morgan Grenfell and a VP at Deutsche Bank in London. She holds an MSc with distinction in Environmental Studies, a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MA in Economics from Exeter University. Stephanie received an OBE for her services to climate finance in Her Majesty the Queen's Jubilee Birthday Honours List in 2022.
Peter leads our corporate team, supporting investor engagements with companies through initiatives including Climate Action 100+, the Net Zero Engagement Initiative and Nature Action 100. He previously worked as a senior portfolio manager and Head of Corporate Governance at Aberdeen Asset Management in Singapore, London and São Paolo. Peter began his career at the International Finance Corporation and more recently has advised European development finance institutions on climate governance. He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MA from John Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
Adam leads on net zero stewardship, assisting members with the development of stewardship strategies and proxy voting policies as well as engagement escalation strategy for Climate Action 100+. He has a strong background in shareholder engagement, proxy solicitation and mainstream investor activist campaigns. He has previously worked for proxy advisers, ratings agencies and solicitation firms. Adam read Economic Geography at the London School of Economics.
Alexandra joined IIGCC in December 2022 and supports on Climate Action 100+ and other projects. She graduated from the University of Reading in 2019 with a BSc in Mathematics and Psychology and then joined Nationwide Building Society on their graduate programme.
Dan joined us in September 2021 and is also a Technical Adviser for the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI). Dan has been with TPI since 2018 and helped develop the methodologies it uses to assess the carbon performance of the oil and gas and mining sectors. Prior to IIGCC, he was a sell-side equity analyst at numerous firms including Deutsche Bank and Arete. He holds a MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
Giorgos joined IIGCC in September 2023 as a member of the corporate programme's transition research team. His role involves conducting climate transition analysis for various sectors, with a specific focus on utilities. Prior to joining IIGCC, Giorgos worked as a consultant, advising financial services firms on climate risk and ESG data. He also has experience as a corporate sustainability research analyst. Giorgos holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Renewable Energy from the University of Edinburgh.
Hannah contributes to the corporate programme's transition research team. Her work encompasses conducting cross-cutting and sector-specific climate transition research, with a particular emphasis on the oil & gas sector, as well as supporting the engagement team. Previously, Hannah was involved as a Senior ESG analyst at a global pro bono consultancy, a position she maintained alongside her studies. She holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Resources from UCL and a BSc in International Relations and History from LSE.
Jack supports IIGCC’s net zero stewardship work and leads engagement with industrial companies. He previously worked in public sector consulting at Strategy& and EY, where he specialised in sustainable development, and has an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.
Jana leads on the global sector strategies for Climate Action 100+ and the chemical sector engagement at IIGCC. Jana joined IIGCC in 2022 after managing sectoral climate research at ShareAction and working as an equity and ESG analyst for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She also contributed to several expert groups at SBTI, WGBC, and CBI. Jana holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and an MSc in International Finance from HEC Paris.
Jheel joined us as a Programme Officer in July 2022, supporting banking and Climate Action 100+ workstreams within the corporate team. She is currently pursuing her MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.
Joe leads on the coordination of IIGCC's involvement in the Climate Action 100+ initiative. Joe joined IIGCC in July 2024 after spending four years at InfluenceMap, where he managed the organisation's investor-related research and engagements globally. Joe holds an LLB in Law and an MSc in Environmental Policy, both from the University of Bristol.
Laith works across our investor stewardship workstreams, including investor voting policies, proxy adviser outreach and credit engagement. Prior to joining IIGCC in 2022, Laith worked at Institutional Shareholder Services, on Say on Climate votes, and as a policy adviser at the Investment Association, covering the stewardship landscape from climate reporting and audit and accounting to diversity and fixed income stewardship.
Lucia supports the management of our corporate work, project managing IIGCC’s banking workstream as well as focusing on the mining sector and Paris aligned accounting. She joined from Critical Resource, where she coordinated and worked on energy sector issues. Lucia holds an MPhil in International Development from the University of Cambridge and a BA in International Politics from King's College London.
Sam works in our corporate team, researching and developing frameworks for assessing corporate transition planning, and supporting the implementation of these frameworks. He joined us in July 2022, coming from a background in climate science and oceanography, specialising in polar regions. Sam holds a PhD from Oxford University, where he co-founded a student group called Positive Investment Oxford and coordinated the Oxford University Polar Forum.
Norah leads our work on nature, integrating the topic into IIGCC’s existing climate frameworks, building investor knowledge on nature-related issues, and coordinating our participation in Nature Action 100. Prior to joining IIGCC, Norah worked at the Rainforest Foundation UK where she led their evidence-based advocacy on climate and managed projects to strengthen the rights of forest communities.
Norah holds a BSFS in Science, Technology and International Affairs from Georgetown University and a MSc in Ecological Applications from Imperial College London. She completed her master’s thesis at London’s Natural History Museum where she researched biodiversity levels inside areas managed by indigenous peoples and local communities.
Mahesh leads the investor strategies team at IIGCC. He is also the UNFCCC's Marrakech Partnership focal point for finance, linking non-state actors in finance with parties to the convention. Prior to joining IIGCC in 2022 he led the capital markets team at CDP, following an 18-year career in banking and finance, predominantly at Macquarie Group where he led specialist teams in financial services and healthcare. He holds an MBA, Energy from Cranfield University.
Adrian leads our work on the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative and Net Zero Investment Framework, supporting institutional investors in aligning their portfolios with net zero emissions by 2050. Adrian is a climate change and sustainability specialist with more than ten years of progressive professional experience across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. Adrian has a PhD in climate change economics and policy.
Angus leads on Climate Initiatives at IIGCC, covering the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative, Paris Aligned Asset Owners, and the Investor Agenda. He supports investors with their net zero commitments.
Angus joined from the UK Treasury where he was Head of International Climate and Environment Policy. He has previously worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Deloitte.
Anne leads the Adaptation and Resilience workstream within Investor Strategies and across the organisation. As part of the investor engagement, she is managing the Physical Climate Risk Assessment Methodology (PCRAM).
She has joined IIGCC from Flood Re. Interdisciplinary urbanist by training, she has experience working on economic appraisals, market research, and physical climate risk assessments at the intersection of public policy, investment and (re)insurance. Her expertise lies in translating technical risk knowledge into digestible and actionable policy and investment strategies.
Elena leads the development and application of the Net Zero & Climate Resilience Investment Frameworks and other thought leadership on emerging thematics, providing deep investment expertise, and addressing technical issues to advance guidance on specific topics relevant to implementation efforts of members’ net zero commitments.
Portfolio management and responsible investment professional with over 15 years of industry experience in managing passive and systematic indexed strategies, ETFs and sustainable finance at Blackrock, HSBC Global Asset Management and MSCI.
Elena holds MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School and an MSt in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.
Ella is a Senior Manager in IIGCC’s Investor Strategies programme, responsible for supporting investors to implement net zero commitments and climate transition plans. Prior to this, she worked at PwC and EY in climate change advisory and as an ESG specialist in private equity.
Freddie joined IIGCC in January 2022 to support on membership, updates and IIGCC’s initiatives, most recently leading our publication 'five principles to improve the next generation of net zero benchmarks'. Freddie graduated from the University of Glasgow in September 2021 with an MSc in International Banking and Finance, and has since had experience at an investment newsletter where he was exposed to multiple environmentally focused investment opportunities.
Hugh joined IIGCC in June 2022 with responsibility for our real estate workstream. He previously worked as a Senior Policy Specialist at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, where he led on a range of policy and regulatory issues in the built environment. Prior to this, Hugh gained experience working in a number of policy roles in regulators and membership bodies.
Julien joined IIGCC in May 2022 and is focused on activities related to net zero initiatives including Net Zero Asset Managers and Paris Aligned Asset Owners. He was also responsible for the development of the IIGCC Net Zero Data Catalogue, and the publication of the Investors Asks of Private Data Vendors.
Mariam joined IIGCC in July 2023 and works within Climate Frameworks, supporting across all asset classes. She holds a BSc in Economics and International Business from ICESI University in Colombia, and an MSc in Management with Business Strategy and the Environment from Birkbeck University. Her previous experience includes corporate sustainability roles in the private and non-profit sectors, as well as policy research on climate change, agriculture, and food security in Latin America.
Misa is a seasoned private equity investor with expertise in ESG and climate change, with 17 years of global experience in financing, direct investments and private equity fund investments. Misa founded Green Ventures Capital in 2011, an investment company specialising in private equity investments in climate friendly, clean energy technologies and assets.
Saru joined us in February 2024, as the Adaptation and Resilience Analyst, situated in the Investor Strategies team. She supports on our Physical Climate Risk Assessment (PCRAM) work and A&R workstreams.
She has joined us from The Economist Group, where she was a part of the Economist Impact. With a background in Public Policy, she completed her second Master's in Global Energy and Climate Policy with a focus on Adaptation finance flows from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
Sophie leads on Emerging Markets and Just Transition within the Investor Strategies team. She previously worked on Climate Action 100+ and the Net Zero Engagement Initiative, with a focus on the utilities sector and lobbying. Previously, Sophie held roles in the UK Government, including in the Cabinet Office working on the UK's COP26 Presidency, and in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy focused on coal phase out, climate and energy.
Valentina leads our work on climate strategy implementation, supporting our members in implementing our guidance to achieve net zero, invest in climate solutions, and overseeing our future work on emerging markets, just transition, and adaptation and resilience. Most recently she has worked as a climate finance consultant for Genesis Analytics, an Africa-based consultancy, and served as Deputy Head of Natural Capital Advisory for CrossBoundary. She previously worked for Grupo Bancolombia, in both the asset management and investment banking subsidiaries.
Emily leads the policy team, which covers UK, European and international policy issues. She has over a decade’s experience working on climate policy and climate finance in the World Bank Group, at HSBC and in the UK Civil Service. Emily was a senior policy advisor in the UK Cabinet Office and in the former UK Department of Energy and Climate Change, including experience as a climate negotiator at UN COP summits. Emily has a BSc in Social Policy with Government from London School of Economics and an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe in Belgium.
Arianna leads on global policy engagement, including supporting IIGCC’s participation in COP and other major international fora. She joined in 2023, bringing significant experience across climate policy, clean energy innovation, and green finance. In her recent role at ICF Consulting, she was responsible for managing a portfolio of climate finance projects across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Prior to that, she managed international climate/energy innovation programmes and led numerous policy research projects in both the public and not-for-profit sectors.
She holds an MSc. Climate Change and Environmental Policy from the University of Leeds.
Hajira supports our policy work across the real economy, focusing particularly on EU and UK policy advocacy work. She also plays a managerial role within IIGCC’s COP initiatives, working with the UNFCCC Secretariat and investor members on their COP involvement. Previously, Hajira worked within merger and acquisition policy at Goldman Sachs International.
Leo leads on sustainable finance, supporting the development of our positions on sustainable finance policy and helping members to implement regulatory requirements. He previously worked in PwC’s Financial Services Regulatory Insights team and as a consultant in KPMG’s financial risk management practice. He graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Modern History.
Michael leads on real economy policy work. He supports the development of our positions on real economy policy frameworks at the UK, EU and international levels and helps members to understand the implications for their wider activities. He joined us in 2022 having previously been Head of UNFCCC Climate Finance Negotiations for the UK COP 26 Presidency and held several international policy roles in the UK Civil Service.
Zoe leads IIGCC’s UK sustainable finance work, supporting members on policy development and advocacy. Prior to joining IIGCC, Zoe was a Manager at the political consultancy Flint Global where she advised businesses on navigating the climate and sustainability policy and regulatory landscape across the UK and EU.
She also advised clients on the commercial implications of geopolitical developments, including previous international climate summits like COP26, COP27 and COP28. Additionally, she has worked at the think-tank Open Europe on EU politics. Zoe holds a BA in History and MPhil in Modern European History from the University of Cambridge.
Kat joined IIGCC in 2021, leading the communications team and with responsibility for our communications and membership strategy across all practice areas, initiatives and partnerships. She has more than a decade’s communications experience in the investment management industry and previously worked at Schroders and BlueOrchard in a range of roles focusing on corporate communications, media relations, digital marketing and sustainability. Kat holds a BA in French and Spanish from Kent University.
Callum leads our content strategy, an in-house journalist responsible for digital publishing across its online channels. Callum joined in June 2022 from Vodafone, where he spent six years across a variety of roles in its Global Enterprise and UK divisions. His time at COP26 in Glasgow sparked a curiosity which led him to IIGCC.
Ellen joined IIGCC in July 2024 and oversees the organisation's digital communications strategy, managing the member-focused website and newsletter. Ellen brings seven years of experience in digital content and communications within the non-profit sector. Ellen holds both an MA and BA in English Literature from Newcastle University.
Isabella leads communications for the NZAM initiative. She joined from Reuters, where she worked as a video producer for the news agency's German, Central European, and World feed. With a bachelor's degree in development studies and a master's in digital sociology, she strives to craft compelling narratives that make sustainable finance accessible and effectively convey the impactful work of IIGCC and its Network Partners.
Kritti combines her background in business and technology journalism with expertise in policy development and analysis. She has worked closely with business leaders and investors, translating complex topics into accessible reports.
Kritti holds an MSc in Media and Communications Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Known for her motivation, proactivity, and dedication, she excels in crafting strategic communication plans, managing media relations, and coordinating events to promote IIGCC's mission. Kritti consistently goes above and beyond to deliver excellence in all her endeavours.
Natasha has over five years of communications experience across leading energy brands, creative agencies and the third sector, with a particular interest in addressing the 'communication challenge' facing the climate crisis.
Natasha graduated from Edinburgh University with a MA in English Literature.
Olivia supports the delivery of IIGCC’s communications strategy across its programmes and initiatives, and is co-chair of the NZAM Communications Working Group. She was previously Communications Manager for Climate Action 100+, having joined IIGCC in March 2021. Before this, Olivia advised clients and cross-sector member initiatives across the energy and transport sectors with strategic communications. Olivia graduated from Durham University with a BA in History.
Ross leads on strategic narrative, reputation management and media relations campaigns in support of IIGCC’s business objectives across its three programmes, as well as high profile global and standalone initiatives. He has over a decade of PR and communications experience advising financial services companies and organisations on reputation management. Prior to IIGCC, Ross was a Director at international PR agency, Instinctif Partners.
Sam joined IIGCC in October 2022, and is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of IIGCC's in-person and online events.
Graduating from Leeds University with a BA in Political Science, Sam then embarked on a career in events. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked in a variety of sectors including science, not-for-profit and festivals.
Sara supports work across IIGCC's content streams and marketing partnerships. She has four years of experience in sustainability communications working with some of the world's leading corporates and financial firms.
Sara joined IIGCC in June 2024. She holds a BA in English Literature and History from Queen Mary University of London and an MA in Linguistics from King's College London, where she published several research papers on language use in environmental work in Southeast Asia.
Sarah leads on pursuing new membership opportunities and driving deeper engagement with IIGCC's existing membership.
Before joining in October 2023, Sarah previously worked in the Policy team at IGCC (one of IIGCC's network partners), working with Australian and New Zealand investors.
Charlotte joined IIGCC in 2017 and has held a number of roles developing and building our operational functions. She is responsible for coordinating the organisation's strategy and works with the programme teams to operationalise this strategy. Charlotte also leads the fundraising team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop funder proposals, build relationships and report on impact. Prior to IIGCC, Charlotte spent nine years in project and event management roles across multiple industries. She holds a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from King's College London.
Anthony joined IIGCC in November 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of expertise in managing financial systems and delivering effective finance solutions in both the private and voluntary sectors. Anthony joined from a charity that supports young people to build confidence and develop employability skills, where he was responsible for various operational functions. Prior to his work in the charity sector, Anthony spent 12 years working in financial services, firstly at EY and then KPMG.
Dan has over 20 years’ experience in technology and as a Microsoft Certified Professional. He brings extensive expertise in designing and developing custom solutions.
At IIGCC, Dan’s role is to ensure our IT systems and data are accessible, accurate, and secure. He has previously worked for prominent organisations including Penguin Random House, Nest Pensions, and the Civil Aviation Authority.
Emma joined us in October 2022, providing administrative support to the Senior Management Team and to the wider organisation on logistics, invoicing, recruitment and onboarding. Prior to joining IIGCC, Emma spent six years managing production, logistics and operations in the fashion industry and has strong operational expertise. Emma graduated from the Royal Veterinary College with a BSc in Bioveterinary Sciences.
Emma joined IIGCC in May 2024 to oversee the growing work of the Development team, and to progress and execute a fundraising strategy to support IIGCC’s mission and drive long-term financial sustainability.
Prior to IIGCC, Emma worked as Senior Philanthropy Lead at CDP, working across transformational funding with partners both in the UK and US to support global initiatives. Before moving into the climate sector in 2021, Emma gained extensive experience while generating income for Arts organisations and for Brighton and Hove’s Hospice.
Jane has over 20 years’ experience as both general counsel and business adviser across sectors and spent much of her career in venture capital focussed on telecommunications and renewable energy. She has developed a number of start-ups and advises seed and early-stage businesses social impact space.
Natalya joined in March 2022 to assist the organisation as it executes further plans for organisation growth at rapid pace. She provides HR support and advice to help build and develop the best possible team at IIGCC. She is responsible for people priorities including recruitment, onboarding, development, as well as designing and embedding policies, structures and frameworks to enable the team to deliver their best work. She holds a Masters degree in Organisational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics.
Nathalie covers IIGCC’s business operations and provides support on daily administration across the organisation. She joined IIGCC in 2019 having previously worked at EDF Trading Limited for over 18 years in various administrative and operational roles. Nathalie studied at Belle Beille University in France and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Language and Civilisation.
Rob manages IIGCC's grant portfolio and leads our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) work. He develops and manages systems that track IIGCC's progress, identify and communicate impact, and provide insights to facilitate organisational development. With 15 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, Rob has held various roles across fundraising, business development, and grant-making functions, focusing on how philanthropic funding can maximise impact.
