IIGCC members’ dinner – São Paulo

We warmly invite IIGCC members to join us in São Paulo for an informal evening of dinner and conversations. This gathering offers a relaxed opportunity to connect with fellow members and IIGCC staff who will be in Brazil ahead of PRI in Person and COP30.

Wednesday 5 November

Roles and responsibilities of Asset Managers side event at PRI in Person

7:30-9:30am

PRI in Person - São Paulo 

This event will share insights into how asset managers are managing the risks and opportunities of the climate transition. Featuring a mix of moderated panels with industry practitioners and experts and facilitated table discussions allowing participants to exchange on key implementation topics, join us to explore the challenges and opportunities asset managers are facing in different regions. The event will also provide insights into the future of the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative in the run-up to its re-launch. 

Julien Grolee, Senior Investor Strategies Programme Manager - Climate Initiatives will be facilitating one of the breakout conversations.

Finance Sector Leadership on Deforestation: From Risk to Action

Hosted by Global Canopy and WWF Brazil in partnership with AFi and IIGCC.

This event will examine practical strategies for tackling commodity-driven deforestation and conversion risks. Bringing together leading financial institutions and NGO partners, the session will showcase experiences, actionable tools, and engagement approaches from Brazil and global markets. By learning from current practice and openly debating challenges and opportunities, participants will help shape forward-looking investor strategies and collective action in the run-up to COP30 and beyond.

Thursday 6 November

The Investor Agenda Side Event for COP30: Accelerating and Scaling Up Investor and Government Climate Action at PRI in Person

16:00 – 17:00

PRI in Person - São Paulo 

This session will present new research on the global state of investor climate action. It will provide a forum for investors to discuss actions they’re taking, and the steps they’re calling on governments to take at COP30. Including investor perspectives on:

  • Actions to address climate risk and opportunities, corporate engagement, investor disclosure, and policy advocacy
  • Climate related trends, including expectations on key COP30 outcomes such as private finance mobilization for resilience in EMDEs, investable NDCs and progress in implementing the outcome of the First Global Stocktake.

Climate Action: Sustainable Innovation Forum 2025
