Roles and responsibilities of Asset Managers side event at PRI in Person

This event will share insights into how asset managers are managing the risks and opportunities of the climate transition. Featuring a mix of moderated panels with industry practitioners and experts and facilitated table discussions allowing participants to exchange on key implementation topics, join us to explore the challenges and opportunities asset managers are facing in different regions. The event will also provide insights into the future of the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative in the run-up to its re-launch.

Finance Sector Leadership on Deforestation: From Risk to Action

Global Canopy and WWF Brazil, in partnership with AFi and IIGCC, invite you to a high-level breakfast roundtable during PRI in Person 2025 in São Paulo.

The session will explore how the financial sector is addressing deforestation, ecosystem conversion, and related human rights risks, through an open and collaborative discussion structured around the PRI Nature Guidance pillars.

The Investor Agenda Side Event for COP30: Accelerating and Scaling Up Investor and Government Climate Action at PRI in Person

16:00 – 17:00

PRI in Person - São Paulo 

This session will present new research on the global state of investor climate action. It will provide a forum for investors to discuss actions they’re taking, and the steps they’re calling on governments to take at COP30. Including investor perspectives on:

  • Actions to address climate risk and opportunities, corporate engagement, investor disclosure, and policy advocacy
  • Climate related trends, including expectations on key COP30 outcomes such as private finance mobilization for resilience in EMDEs, investable NDCs and progress in implementing the outcome of the First Global Stocktake.

Climate Action: Sustainable Innovation Forum 2025

All day

Renaissance São Paulo Hotel

In its 17th annual edition, the Sustainable Innovation Forum will unite 1,000 global climate leaders to accelerate the innovations, partnerships, and finance needed to meet the moment. With a clear mission to support COP30’s core objectives, climate justice, nature based solutions, and a just, inclusive transition, this year the Forum will catalyse cross-sector collaboration and showcase actionable solutions that can be rapidly scaled. By aligning business leadership with global climate goals, the 2025 Forum will help support COP30 meet its objectives in Belém turn ambition into tangible progress for a sustainable, resilient future.

The event features a dedicated track on Transforming Agri-Food Systems on 6 November. Peter Taylor, Corporate Programme Director, will be joining the Transforming Agri-Food Systems Hackathon which is designed as a collaborative space where delegates from across the agri-food ecosystem—farmers, policymakers, business leaders, lenders, and NGOs—can come together to exchange practical ideas and solutions. Introducing the Deforestation Investor Group (DIG) / Apresentando o Grupo de Investidores em Desmatamento (DIG)

As Brazil prepares to host COP30, IIGCC and Régia Capital will bring together Brazilian and international investors to explore how the financial sector can help halt deforestation and forest degradation. The event will showcase progress from the Finance Sector Deforestation Action (FSDA) initiative and introduce the upcoming Deforestation Investor Group (DIG), launching in 2026. The session will highlight opportunities for investors to drive climate action, reduce risk, and support regenerative business models. 

À medida que o Brasil se prepara para sediar a COP30, a IIGCC e a Régia Capital reunirão investidores brasileiros e internacionais para discutir como o setor financeiro pode contribuir para interromper o desmatamento e a degradação florestal. O evento apresentará os avanços da iniciativa Finance Sector Deforestation Action (FSDA) e fará a introdução do futuro Grupo de Investidores pelo Fim do Desmatamento (DIG), com lançamento previsto para 2026. A sessão destacará as oportunidades para que investidores impulsionem a ação climática, reduzam riscos e apoiem modelos de negócios regenerativos.

World Climate Foundation: World Climate Summit & The Investment COP 2025

Held alongside COP30 in Belém, the World Climate Summit & Investment COP 2025 is where commitments turn into implementation. Taking place at the edge of the Amazon, this flagship platform of the World Climate Network brings together leaders from government, finance, business, and civil society to accelerate real progress on climate and nature. 

On Day 1, the Summit features two dynamic tracks: the World Climate Summit (WCS), focused on advancing climate and nature solutions through innovation, inclusion, and collaboration, and the Investment COP (ICOP), dedicated to mobilising capital for a resilient, sustainable, and nature-positive economy.  

On Day 2, the discussions converge under the World Climate Summit, diving deeper into key agendas that drive just transitions, strengthen economies, and deliver on the COP30 Action Agenda across Brazil’s six axes: clean energy, food systems, biodiversity, adaptation, resilience, and finance.
