On 6 February 2023, we published our updated position paper on the EU’s proposals for a Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
The paper sets out our latest recommendations on the file following the European Council’s Agreement of a General Approach on CSDDD in December 2022.
The recommendations call for maintaining a tailored approach for investor due diligence, ensuring that CSDDD is coherent with the EU’s wider framework for sustainable finance, explicit incorporation of climate due diligence requirements, and strengthening existing proposals for the adoption of climate transition plans.
