The automotive sector has a key role to play in supporting the transition to net zero emissions. This report provides guidance for investors to help inform engagement with companies across the sector.
Supporting analysis included in the report assesses alignment of vehicle production plans for 14 leading automotive companies with the goals of the Paris Agreement. Its findings, based on modelling by 2° Investing Initiative (2DII) as partners in the production of the report, show that no single company is yet fully aligned with a climate scenario consistent with limiting warming to below 2°C, let alone well-below 2°C, as goals of the Paris Agreement.
