What to look out for at New York Climate Week 2024

What to look out for at New York Climate Week 2024

Kritti Bhalla

Communications Officer
11.09.24

New York Climate Week (NYCW) is just around the corner, running from September 22 to 29, 2024. With over 600 events planned, it is one of the biggest climate events of the year. Discussions here will feed into key conversations at Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP16 in Colombia and COP29 in Azerbaijan in the coming weeks.

NYCW’s theme this year, It’s Time, is all about ramping up climate progress, especially as 2024 continues to shatter global temperature records. Framed by the UN General Assembly, it brings together leaders from government, business and finance to focus on accelerating climate action.

For investors, it is an opportunity to connect and contribute to shaping the future direction of climate and nature action, in line with their individual fiduciary duties.

Our experts will be actively participating throughout the week, presenting IIGCC’s latest work and joining discussions on key focus areas for our members. Expect to see our involvement in both public events and private bilateral meetings, ensuring that the investment community is well-represented in the discussions.

Whether you are attending in person or virtually, the full event calendar offers discussions hosted by various organisations. To help navigate the week, we have put together a guide to the most relevant sessions for IIGCC members.

All listed times are in US Eastern Standard Time (UTC-4).
