IIGCC publishes open letter on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive

IIGCC publishes open letter on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
20.06.22

We have published an open letter from our CEO to EU Member State representatives and MEPs, ahead of the closing trilogues on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) proposals.

In our letter, we emphasised the need to ensure the ambition and reach of the EU’s sustainability disclosure framework upholds the objectives of the European Green Deal.

Specifically, we have called for a broad and proportionate scope within disclosure requirements, robust transition plan disclosures, and the need for interoperability within wider reporting frameworks.

The open letter followed our recent publication of investor expectations on corporate sustainability disclosures, which sets out key principles to support investors’ sustainability information needs.
