Benefits and ways of working at IIGCC

People join IIGCC because they care deeply about making a difference in supporting our mission that brings the investment community together to make significant progress towards a net zero and climate resilient future by 2030. In return, IIGCC offers its employees a competitive salary with a wide range of benefits and supportive ways of working.

Ways of working

Hybrid working: IIGCC employees work a minimum of two days a week from our London office for in-person collaboration and can choose to work the remaining time remotely.

Remote working: IIGCC is trialling a policy to allow employees to work fully remotely, including overseas, for up to 10 working days per year (to be taken in two blocks of up to 5 days each).

Flexible working hours: Staff can choose to vary their start and end times each day around core hours of 10:00-16:00, offering employees the freedom to manage their own schedules.

Time off

Annual leave: We offer 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time employees). After three years of service, an additional day is added each year for up to five years.

Discretionary office closure days: Our office normally closes between Christmas and New Year, with those three days offered as additional annual leave.

Compassionate leave: Paid or unpaid compassionate leave is available to support employees who might need to take time away for personal reasons. We encourage employees to have honest conversations with their line manager when needed.

Parental leave policies: IIGCC offers an enhanced maternity leave/pay policy for qualifying employees as well as statutory paternity and adoption leave.

Financial support

Non-contributory pension: Employees are enrolled in our pension scheme after three months’ service, when IIGCC contributes 8% of annual salary, rising to 10% after six months. Employees can also optionally choose to make an additional pension contribution through our salary sacrifice scheme.

Independent financial advice: We offer access to an independent financial advisor quarterly for all staff.

Life assurance cover: Life assurance is four times annual salary and covers death in service.

Health and wellbeing

Private health insurance: After the probationary period, employees can enrol in our comprehensive private health insurance plan operated by AXA which includes medical, dental, and optical care. Full details of the scheme are provided on successful end of probation (full terms and conditions apply).

24-hour employee assistance: A free 24-hour confidential helpline with access to in-person counselling is available to all staff as well as access to an online health assessment and advice tool.

Cycle to work: This salary sacrifice scheme offers employees a bike hire loan, paid back via monthly payments deducted from gross salary, thereby reducing tax, NI, and encouraging sustainable travel.

Learning and development

Cross-team learning opportunities: Our employees are invited and encouraged to attend member webinars and events delivered by our programme teams to support employee learning, and cross-programme collaborations. In addition, staff often hold internal ‘teach-ins’ to share knowledge and expertise on different topics and promote peer-to-peer learning.

Formal training: We are piloting a structured learning programme to invest in our employees’ development and to support individual growth in line with IIGCC priorities.

Our benefits continue to evolve. Our hope is that we deliver a comprehensive and supportive employee experience as well as attract the best people to our organisation.
