Corporate Programme Manager
The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and well organised Programme Manager to support the research and analysis team within our Corporate Programme. The Programme Manager will also support investors participating in engagement with European companies and financial organisations. This is an exciting role for someone who is interested both in research and analysis as well as working closely with investors and will place a motivated individual at the heart of investor action on climate change.
While this role is initially offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months, we hope that the contract can be extended.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the overall project management and research needs of the Corporate Programme in order to support investor engagement with companies on climate change
- Assist with the development of analytical tools to help investors to assess and track the decarbonisation strategies of companies in their portfolio across multiple sectors and asset classes
- Work across IIGCC teams to ensure climate engagement activities aligns with investor portfolio decarbonisation goals
- Support outreach to enhance climate action by investors
- Provide support to other IIGCC initiatives and working groups as required (such as Climate Action 100+; IIGCC Banks Working Group; Paris Aligned Accounting Working Group)
Skills and Capabilities
Essential
- Understanding of climate change and its implications for the financial sector
- Understanding of corporate climate disclosure practices (e.g. TCFD, SBTi, CDP)
- Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to synthesize written and numeric data quickly and accurately to develop original insight
- Strong numerical skills including proficiency with Excel and ability to interrogate datasets to produce meaningful output
- Demonstrable ability to pick up complex topics and distil and summarise such issues effectively
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to prioritise
- Enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible and positive approach
- Fluent in routine IT tools including Microsoft office
- Fluency in English language
Desirable
- Work experience in a sustainability or investment related role
- Other European languages an advantage
