IIGCC response to TCFD consultation on climate-related metrics, targets and transition plans

15.07.21

On 7 June 2021, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) published two documents for consultation: proposed guidance on climate-related metrics, targets and transition plans, and a technical supplement for measuring portfolio alignment.

The proposed guidance sets out general guidance for organisations seeking to develop and implement climate-related metrics, targets, and transition plans. It also introduces a set of recommended cross-industry, climate-related metrics and financial impacts that all companies (financial and non-financial) should disclose.

In addition, the TCFD’s Portfolio Alignment Team is developing technical guidance on emerging best practice for portfolio alignment tools and forward-looking assessments of alignment with the Paris Agreement.

IIGCC submitted a response on the consultation to the TCFD Secretariat on 15 July. Download the response below.
