IIGCC Real Estate Roundtable: Policy Barriers and Opportunities
29.04.22
On 28 April, IIGCC hosted the first in a series of roundtables highlighting key developments relevant to investor action in supporting the transition to net zero buildings.
The roundtable sought to build consensus across the value chain on the priority policy and regulatory interventions necessary to achieve net zero buildings. We heard from EU and UK policymakers on the current policy landscape for real estate and future regulatory developments, alongside perspectives from investors and industry experts. The event finished with a panel discussion moderated by Peter Sweatman, CEO of Climate Strategy & Partners, where participants explored some of the key actions that policymakers and regulators can take to incentivise investment in green buildings in the UK and Europe, and support alignment of real estate holdings with net zero.
The presentation from the event is available to download below. The recording from the webinar can be viewed here.
