IIGCC Real Estate Roundtable: Measuring and managing whole life carbon emissions (part 1)

On 19 July, IIGCC hosted the second in its series of roundtables highlighting key developments relevant to investor action in supporting the transition to net zero buildings.
The roundtable, the first of two focusing on managing whole life carbon emissions, aimed to build consensus around emerging approaches for measuring embodied carbon in buildings. We heard from experts from Xavier Le Den of Ramboll on measurement and benchmarking of embodied carbon and from Karl Downey of SBTi on the development of pathways and target setting for buildings. This was followed by a Q&A session moderated by Peter Sweatman of Climate Strategy & Partners.
