IIGCC Publishes Updated CSDD Position Paper
On 6 February, IIGCC published its updated position paper on the EU’s proposals for a Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDD). The paper sets out IIGCC’s latest recommendations on the file following the European Council’s Agreement of a General Approach on CSDD in December. The recommendations call for maintaining a tailored approach for investor due diligence, ensuring that CSDD is coherent with the EU’s wider framework for sustainable finance, explicit incorporation of climate due diligence requirements, and strengthening existing proposals for the adoption of climate transition plans.
