IIGCC publishes open letter ahead of closing trilogues on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

28.06.22

Ahead of the closing trilogues on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) proposals, IIGCC published an open letter to EU Member State representatives and MEPs on 20 June 2022. The open letter followed the recent publication of IIGCC’s investor expectations on corporate sustainability disclosures, which sets out key principles to support investors’ sustainability information needs.

IIGCC emphasised the need to ensure the ambition and reach of the EU’s sustainability disclosure framework upholds the objectives of the European Green Deal. Specifically, IIGCC has called for a broad and proportionate scope within disclosure requirements, robust transition plan disclosures, and the need for interoperability within wider reporting frameworks.
