2019 Final Global Investor Statement to Governments on Climate Change
An updated version of the GIS has been relaunched ahead of the COP 25 climate negotiations in Madrid, December.
Endorsed by a record 631 investors managing over $37 trillion in assets, it sets a new record as the single largest investor intervention on climate change. Reiterating the call for full and urgent implementation of the Paris Agreement and associated policy priorities, this comes at a vital time in the global multilateral process to address climate change. See the accompanying press release here.
IIGCC leads on the development and delivery of the GIS on Climate Change, working collaboratively with other investor groups as a partner organisation behind the Investor Agenda. The Investor Agenda has been developed by seven Founding Partner investor groups: Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, CDP, Ceres, Investor Group on Climate Change, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, Principles for Responsible Investment and UNEP Finance Initiative.
